anime cel collecting
So....I started trolling ebay for anime cels. Anyone out there have any?
I never really thought about collecting them until I went to Otakon and I got to thinking that so many of the new anime shows are all done digitally so there aren't any cels for them. Kinda made me want to have a little piece of artistic history.
So far I've got three Toyas from Ayashi no Ceres and a Tamahome from Fuyshig Yugi. (There's a really sweet Vampire Hunter D cel I want, but I don't know if I can cough up the $500 right now...)
I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

I gotta slow down - my bank account is pretty much screaming at this point!

Wow.
Myn, you are really lucky - those are some gorgeous cells. And you have one of modern-dress Tamahome! *dies of pure envy*
Almost make me want to give up my yarn and fabric stash to start collecting cells...almost. (My fabric stash takes up an entire wall of my office, just fyi. And please don't ask about the yarn...I've taken to hiding it in the piano. Yes, I should probably seek help about both of those hoards - but at least they're insulating the house.)

Thanks...I know there's a lot of Toya in there...but like I mentioned in a previous thread I'm a Yu Watase slut in general and a Toya girl all the way. (Don't ask me why...it will just induce mr. mynfel into massive amounts of eye-rolling...)
I *am* hoping to introduce some more variety, but for now I just buy what I like. Which isn't going to be as much as like for a little while (dentist today cost me $1600....praying that insurance will take care of at least half that...ack!)

Quite a collection, and yeah, lots of Toya!
I've got no cell collection, but I have a few mock ups that I've painted. It's really a fun thing, very different than normal coloring.
