So, Demonheart might be turned into a visual novel and thus become a standalone game. I'm going to wait until Lamb posts some pictures to form an opinion on it, but so far it's quite exciting. Sad to loose a module series, but if it makes it easier to continue the story, then I'm all for it.

I have to admit, I am disappointed she is stopping the NWN Demonheart series, but glad to know she is not stopping it altogether, only switching to a different format. I checked the blog link after you posted it as I hadn't seen that post before where she talks about the game's changes. I've visited the blog before, just not recently, well not until last night that is. Anyway, I'm hoping that when she finishes the visual novel for it, maybe perhaps she'll think about finishing the NWN series too, but I won't hold my breath either. Whatever's easiest, I can understand that.
So, judging from the last blog entry, it's going to be a completely different game. First of all, no more sex. Pity, but well, nothing we can't handle. But there is more. I am quoting Lamb now:
"The Apocalypse plot will not be there. Maybe in a sequel. The game will mostly be about Orchid, Raze and Rivera. It's not like I can easily finish the module content and package it in the game. That means the game will be shorter than all the modules combined were supposed to be. It will have all the familiar places, but I'm not just copy-pasting, either. Expect some unexpected turns. And an ending."
I must admit I'm a bit disappointed. And I'm sorry that the modules won't be finished, I loved them so much just the way they were. On the other hand, now I would not be forced to choose between Raze and Brash, an impossible choice if you ask me;) And I have faith in Lamb, she is a wonderful writer.
To comfort myself I am doing a replay now:)

xeiroe: Hello, dunno if anyone is still here, but does anyone know where to find the Valen mod for BG2? I had a massive hard-drive failure and lost it and can't locate it online, anywhere. I know it was left unfinished but I still liked to play through it.

dragonturtlle: Does anyone know if you need these erf files for EE? I just put the downloads from Nexus into modules and I was able to start it up. Are you suppose to be able to flirt at the very beginning or do you have to wait for a bit.
