Inspired by Aeryn's thread. I'm a proud cat owner and a cat person 100%, but the "man's best friend" sometimes deserves a bit of attention, too. Here is my mother's dog, just coming home after leg surgery. My brother tried to cheer him up with a duck toy. It did not work.

Here are my codependent dogs. Malibu is black and white, she is 14. She thinks the kids are hers and allows me to help take care of them. She is the sweetest dog in the world and adores all children. The tan and white is Chilly, he is 6 and I rescued him from my ex brother in law, not that one my first husbands brother. Any way Chilly was abused as a puppy and it took a ton of love and patience with him. I am his favorite person. Though he will tolerate other people who are kind, you can forget it if you are a man wearing a baseball cap though, flash backs or long memory. They were playing nurse maid in this photo while I was recuperating from surgery. Attachments:

People who abuse animals are just the worst kind! Glad you gave this soul a safe home, hun!
Both "puppies" are adorable!

Prepare for picture spam! I have four dogs to share...first up is..
The infamous Woogie also known as Monster Dog or the Ankle Biter. He is so adorable that no one really cares that he thinks he is the boss and since he barely reaches my ankles he isn't as fierce as he would like you to think. Overall Woogie is the best house dog ever. He plays with his toys and doesn't destroy the furniture. He is also completely house trained and never pees outside his potty area. The only drawback is he likes to bite my toes as a game...
Next we have the dog my uncle rescued off the side of the road. Jack was a stray that we wound up keeping. Jack is very much like my uncle...easy going most of the time and very laid back. He is a bit nosy though and you can't leave a bowl of food out or he will eat it all right then and there will be nothing left. Jack is our oldest dog at the moment as well. He is probably close to nine or ten years old. We aren't exactly sure as we don't know when he was born.
And finally since I'm only allowed to post three attachments at a time we have Puddin. Puddin is the dog visitors are the most scared of and for no real reason. She is very friendly the only real damage she is likely to do is scratch you when she jumps on you wanting pets. She is uncoordinated but she is very fast when she wants to be and quite smart as well.

Love your dags, Brei, especially Jack! <3
I've only seen one other dog that was potty trained and belongs to a friend of mine. As a coincidence, Cara looks much like your Woogie.

Thank you! I have one more to share but I'm sure Jack appreciates your vote for him.
Meet Allie! Allie is a lot like me in dog-form in my opinion. Bouncy, hyper, and energetic with issues paying attention for more than five seconds. You can throw a ball and when she starts to bring it back throwing another ball will send her running after it instead...and she doesn't always drop the first ball either. She is friendly and highly amusing to watch.

Man, I love retrievers! <3 deina, who's the soccer fan in your home? These are all football players names! Speaking of football + dogs, here is our former dog Pele. He passed two years ago due to old age. As you can see, he was a very hard working dog! Joy of the family. <3
