Just wanted to drop a heads-up that I've been working on a spinoff mod for A Dance with Rogues for quite a while now. It is -- tentatively -- called A Dance with Rogues - The Prodigal Daughter. The long and short is that you play as Nathan's long-lost (lol) daughter, returning to Betancuria with your pirate companion about a month after the fall of The Family.
The companions: Drago Blake
Nelina Ashby (that chick who was apparently not-so-great at guarding Nathan)
Cynn Nottian
Anatole, a pirate that your character has known for upwards of five years
I wanted to test the water with different types of romances, you know? So, here's the deal: there are three special types of romances that you can encounter, on top of the normal ones you get in pretty much every Bioware RPG. All three of these are, of course, optional. The first two will be set via dialogue at the start of the game.
Romance type one - Your character was previously involved with Drago Blake before she left Betancuria. Lemme lay this down right off the bat... this means that your character was young -- possibly as young as sixteen -- at the time of this relationship. If that freaks you out, either don't choose this option (this will NOT bar you from starting up a new romance with him) or make up your own headcanon and adjust your character's age as you see fit. I don't judge. If you do choose to enable this romance option, you can end up with a totally different experience with Drago. Trust issues, angst, rekindling old flames, oh my!
Romance type two - Your character is CURRENTLY in a relationship with Anatole at the start of the module. This will NOT bar you from starting up new romances with any of the companions, 'cause he's cool like that. If you choose not to enable this option, you can start a new relationship with him as the mod goes on.
Romance type three (I'm almost done, I swear) - A three-way romance! Poly! Good lawd! Now this is a tricksy beast. The only companion that is outright accepting of a three-way romance is Anatole, again because he's cool like that. You've got the option of hiding it from the other party involved, or suggesting that you, ah, split the bill three ways, ya feel me? Two will take you up on this offer (one grudgingly), and the other will want to punch you in the face.
I feel like I should also say that there is less sex in this mod than A Dance with Rogues. I felt that this was a necessary change, in that the protagonist is an adult woman on a mission, whereas the princess was lost and new. She won't be banging sailors at the docks. Now, don't take that to mean there is no sex at all. There is, it's just mainly confined to the companions.
Class restrictions: None!
Anyways, I just wanted to start this thread so I could funnel screenshots here and maybe get feedback on certain things. If you've got questions, please go ahead and ask. I don't bite... usually.
