Since I'm treating the Sanctum of the Archmage mods and novels as separate projects, I thought it might be more appropriate to post about the latter on this board. I'm actually pretty close to releasing the prologue "teaser" on Kindle later this month. I just posted a draft preview of the cover on my blog. It's just a mock-up with our "concept" sketch; my art collaborator, Charles, is finalizing the cover illustration now. But this is something akin to what the final cover will look like. I am defiantly keeping an eye out for the release. You have created a world that caught my interest, and made me care about it.

I love the cover, it looks promising! Makes me want to read that book. Can I ask you why you decided to release the first book in parts? And how many books will be there in the SofA SAGA?

Thanks, Songlian! It happens that I've actually written on my website about both questions: Crucible of Heroes in 3 Parts (about why I'm publishing the first novel in parts). As I observed near the end of this earlier post, e-books change the dynamic of what is feasible and cost-effective with regard to publishing. Early novels (think Dumas) were sometimes published in serial installments, but the cost of print runs for modern books has tended to disfavor that sort of thing. The Novels - This link is the one that I posted in the "what's your masterpiece" thread, and it lays out my full plans for the series. I currently have eight full novels planned, with an already worked-out storyline for each.

And who should play Orion in the movies? Unleash your imagination:) Maybe Richard Armitage? No, he is probably too old for the part... How old is Orion anyway? As for Robin, James McAvoy has my vote: That one is big so a link instead: www.morbidofest.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/url-61.jpeg

It depends on which part of the saga you're talking about. I'm still tweaking the timeline, but the prologue and the first two parts of "Crucible" take place when he's in his early twenties - say, 23 or so. Part III picks up the story several years later, and by the time of "The Sight" he should be approaching thirty. Alas! In the mods I could experiment with using software to let the player choose Robin's gender, but not in more traditional fiction. In the novels, Robin has to be female. By the way (and this is intended for those who've played the mods): is it obvious who the prologue's "Two Princes" will be?

So he is younger than I thought. I've imagined him being around thirty from the beginning. Robin was never a female in my games so I don't have an appropriate candidate to play her:)

So he is younger than I thought. I've imagined him being around thirty from the beginning. That's part of my decision to compress the timeline for the novels a bit compared to the mods. In the mods, it was seven years from the massacre of Lannamon to meeting the Miracle Worker, plus another three living in the valley. In retrospect (and for reasons that'll become clearer as the novels progress) I've been thinking that's too long, so I'm planning to cut it to four and two instead. Where Robin, Orion and Diana were in their lives at the time of the invasion is set, though, so that just makes them each a few years younger later on compared to the mods.

That's it! It's submitted, and according to Amazon's guidance it should be available for purchase in about 12 hours.

Ok, Andarian: I have read Dawn of Chaos. It does draw you in, you do get a feel for your world you created. I like the story and the writing style. My only complaint is of course simply " Please Sir, may we have some more"
I understand it takes time , especially to write well, so I shall just have to be patient.
