Heh, they just can't make people happy no matter what they do. I'm okay with the romances so far. I'm hoping the mystery non-companion, non-adviser is a straight or bi male character, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Part One of the E3 demo is up: youtu.be/WdXvFEEBZeo

The game not ending with the main storyline = them making room for future DLC and/or expansions. More neutral choices in conversation though! <3 <3 And the minimap! Tactical view! Strangely enough these things excite me so much more than any of the romance prospects so far (not that I've actually read anything much about them yet) That being able to customize the look of something to seem like one class and be another does sound interesting too.

Iron Bull confirmed as a non-gated, bi-sexual romance at GaymerX. Rejoice!

Is there any word on how many companions you can have with you in your party at a given time? I'm for hoping at least three...I think Dragon Age 2 only allowed you to have two companions with you at a time but I could be wrong. I haven't played that game in a long time. In fact I just reinstalled it so I can do a few full playthroughs to import to Inquisition. I might even be finished with one by the time it comes out...maybe.
Anyway I'm hoping for lots of party banter and I'm going to have to bring Iron Bull and Dorian along just to see what they say to each other...and Solas too. I wonder how it works with romancing the advisors though...I mean its not like you can talk to them on the road all the time like you can with the regular companions...Hopefully it will be well done and at least a little believable with how things progress. I just hope they don't screw this series up like they are doing the Sims. I'm ashamed that I had Sims 4 preordered and now I'm mad at EA because of their dumb choices...again. May Dragon Age: Inquisition be awesome and may the series never become something EA thinks they can half-do and make mega money on!

Pretty sure you will have three companions in your party, like every previous Dragon Age game too. You won't be able to import your savegames, instead you have to use The Keep, a website where you re-create your save-game world state by answering a lot of questions about the decisions you made in the previous game. This "save game" can then be used on any platform version of the game. This was created for people who switch from ancient-gen to a current-gen console, and also because BioWare knows how frigging buggy their previous imports were. Advisor romances are said to have about the same word count as companion romances. Also, you can talk freely to your companions only when you're at the inquisition headquarters, not when you're out on an adventure. Since your advisors are also at the HQ, their romances will probably play out quite similarly.

I actually consider that a good thing. Because it allows more time for bug testing (and we know that there will be bugs, just look at the previous games) and fine-tuning in general.
And from my personal point of view I might have been able to afford a new computer for myself by then XD

Everyone is going nuts over Hawke (the Warden next to her is not THE Warden, according to Laidlaw), but I started wondering last night if this isn't maybe the visuals from some story Varric is telling. I saw several people pointing out that the Keep doesn't support custom appearances for Hawke and the Warden, and Gaider I guess has insisted that IF we were going to see our Warden and our Hawke, our customizations would absolutely matter. I'm not going to get my hopes up for fighting alongside my former characters (not ever sure if that's something I'd enjoy, frankly... I don't want some AI controlling them, ya know?) where there's no context at all for why Hawke is there.
The trailer was really good, though! I totally squealed, "COLE!!" <3 And the footage they showed at the press conference was great, too. The female human Inquisitor looked badass. I hate how far away November is.

Yeah, it seems to be very much like ME3 MP, with the difference that where ME3 MP recycled maps from the single player campaign, DA:I MP will randomly generate them.
ME3 MP was actually well playable without spending any money, so as long as they keep it that way, I'm not too bothered. ME3 MP got several expansions and in the end, you had way more playable classes than in single player.

Finally got around to watching that trailer, and... Maybe it's because I haven't been keeping up with DAI much, but I found it pretty underwhelming. It just seemed quite choppy and disjointed to me. Helmet-guy was everywhere and I recognized Cullen (by voice) and Morrigan. I had to actually look in that thread to even figure out which ones were supposed to be Hawke and 'The Warden'.
It will be interesting to see what they do with Hawke and the Warden, I noticed the same thing as you Aeryn, people saying that the Keep doesn't have anything like that. Some people suggested that we'll get a few defaults to choose from... ehhhh. Personally I prefer to not see my previous characters, because seeing them, especially since one was unvoiced, means bulldozing at least some of what they previously were. And mods mean even if they provided options to match with all of the options provided in previous games some Wardens still wouldn't be able to be recreated.
On the other hand of course it would be fun to be able to see our previous characters in nice shiny new graphics, I just hope that it isn't simplified down to selecting race, gender and a preset.
As for multiplayer/co-op... Can't say I'm surprised after ME3. Like that I won't use it, but I really hope it has no tie-ins to single player games like ME3 did. Multiplayer linking to unlocking single player endings absolutely sucked.

They are saying it doesn't affect SP at all so hopefully they are not mistaken/misinformed about that. As much as I hated the initial need for MP to increase WA enough to get the breath ending in ME3, I actually ended up really having a ton of fun, spending waaay too much time with it until I just had to cut myself off cold turkey. I won't say I ever got really good, but I got good enough to at least finish one gold solo. After that SP was super easy. I'm looking forward to getting in on the challenges right off the bat this time....if I can tear myself away from the SP that is.
