From what I gathered, they are not intentionally leaving out PC gamers - they actually plan to release a PC CE, there's just some miscommunication or other mess-up that somehow caused GameStop to not list any PC Collector's Edition. It will probably show up eventually. If someone is interested in purchasing it, I recommend to keep a close eye on the GameStop site... the console versions were sold out within a few days. (Though apparently part of the preorders were made by people who just wanted to make a quick buck out of desperate fans, since there were CEs listed on ebay for about 400 bucks already...)
That said, I agree that the CE offers too little interesting stuff for too much money. There is also a deck of tarot cards (72 cards instead of 78 though, no idea what's up with that), a set of lockpicks and inquisition "map markers" in the box. No doubt a lot of people find that cool, in fact, BSN was full of wow for days after the announcement (followed by the grumbling of PC players and Europeans and Aussies, heh). To me, that's just a lot of stuff that might be gathering dust after unboxing it. That said, I still have the Geralt bust next to my monitor.
The Deluxe Edition (generally being a part of the CE too, except in selected countries at the moment) just has digital extras and DLC, for example a set of weapons and armor, an armored war horse, a "bog unicorn" (actually an undead horse with a sword stabbed through its skull as a "horn"), a halla mount, a dragon skull throne for customizing your keep and the like. That's something I find more appealing, though I hope that weapons and armor won't unbalance the gameplay.

ok, Gileadan the Geralt bust sounds cool. I have Witcher and enjoy the game play the combat styles and signs are fun to play.
I will just wait until DA I is easily available and affordable. I have more important things to drop over hundred bucks on, namely my 13 yr old daughter and 11 year old son. If one of you get it first just lets us know if it plays as awesome as the trailers make it look.

There will always be the standard edition at a standard price, which may actually be a good pick if you don't really need those extras.
Thankfully, there will not be a day-one DLC companion on launch, so you won't miss any story content with the standard edition. They really went a bit far with Javik in ME3, where you had to either buy the CE or pay extra or you wouldn't get his recruiting mission and would have one less companion in the game.

Right now I'm more worried about the what system req'ts are going to be. I was just reading up on another game, Watch Dogs, which is a "next gen" entry, and the recommended req'ts are way more than what I currently have: 8 core CPU @4.0ghz (I have quad core @ whoknowswhat speed); 8GB RAM (I have 4) and a way more powerful graphics card (recommend Radeon HD 7850, I have the 5450). Yikes! Buy hey, at least I have enough hard drive space.
I hope they release the DAI specs soon so I know what I need to upgrade.

Cullen will serve with the Inquisition, but not be a companion. It's assumed that his responsibilities will be all military related matters. Whether he will be advisor, troop drill sergeant or general in the field, or all of the above, is not exactly known just yet.

Cullen will serve with the Inquisition, but not be a companion. How can he not be a companion and yet be a romance interest? Hmmm.

Ew. Well my excitement for the Cullen romance just went down a notch. Depends on who writes it and how it is implemented? Isn't the chick who created him going to write him further? I forget her name, she wrote Isabella and the Mage Origin in DAO. She does good work. How it's implemented, yeah. Could make a big difference. My problem with these kind of romances is that they don't usually feel like they are part of a game. I want my romance interest to be there when I advance through the core of the story. I want him to see all the things I'm seeing. Coming "home" to talk to some dude who has been dusting the furniture while I was out there shedding blood, sweat and tears into countless battles just isn't my cup of tea. Not saying it couldn't work, and definitely not saying that's what Cullen romance is. You know... just saying.

I defiantly have a difficult time as seeing Cullen as the dust the furniture, have a warm meal ready, and be ready when I get home kind of romance. This stronghold approach is going to come not play with the default relationships. Are the companions just underlings ? We shall see.

Woooow, they weren't kidding about new info coming out after E3! I'm so glad to see him doing more voice work. Oy, so impatient for October! All the vibes coming from the Bull (and from BW about the Bull) are starting to make me wonder if he's going to be available for blowing off steam/casual "romance," but not a full blown romance? Or maybe that's just what they want me to think. /paranoia
