So lets see, who are YOUR favorite hunks or dears you hold a special place in your heart for? Btw, this inludes NWN and NWN2 so we don't have to jump forums. In no particular order for me:
1. Robert Black (Aielund)- Gruff, with a soft inside ^-^
2. Archibald Ire (Ancient Hearts)- T-T Oh how I wish we could explore this more...
3. Nooble (Adam Miller's series)- I thought he was such a sweetheart.
4. Lorwen (Bloodright Blood Royal...might have spelled his name wrong, sorry dearest!)- This guy would be a great husband, dedicated and loyal...and he's a hunk to boot!
5. Casavir (NWN2) Yet another example of the perfect husband...he made my heart melt the instant I heard his voice
And that's all I can think of for now...shame on me, I probably have more...somewhere...

I have to say I liked:
1) Montador from Tales of Areterra. The fact that he was romanceable totally surprised me, so I guess I really liked it
2) Lorwin *was* pretty cool. I also liked Maynard, but he was too sensitive for me. Heh heh.
3) Calibast from Kingmaker. I didn't think much of the module as a whole, but he had Scottish accent. You don't get any cooler than that.
4) Dent from A Harper's Tale (that was it, right?), thought he was great, especially in the later parts.
5) Armand from BardSong. *sigh* I totally would have hit on him if the series had ever been finished. Well, I suppose you can't ahve everything.
6) Soulafein from Soulafein. Much cooler in the NWN than BG2, I think.

1) Valen. He was fun and sweet and a bit dangerous. I also loved his interactions with Deekin. I laughed a lot while playing that game.
2) Gann. He's a lot of fun if you have the right stats. Yes, the romance is perhaps a little too abrupt but I still think it's a nice one. I also like that he's not a "traditional" romanceable character. Who would have looked at a hagspawn as a love interest? Of course, maybe the same could be said for a tiefling.
2) Nooble/Palis. I lurve him. He's so sweet and though he started out as a bit simple, he grows a lot over the series.
4) Casavir. He was sweet but just a touch *too* vanilla for me.
3) Robert Black, but more towards the end. He was a bit too gruff for me but he was fun and funny so I give him high marks.
Still, my ultimate man is Carth Onasi from KotOR I. No NWN man can compare to him for me. He's gorgeous, angsty, rugged, and I liked that he was older. Plus he had the most delicious voice and he was flirtatious and fun. Carth is pixelated perfection to me and the romance NPC against whom all others must measure.

Valen!!!
I haven't played a lot of romances but he's the only one who really melted my heart, even though the romance is so old fashioned and naive. And for once a guy who's a real hunk and lovely to look at! I mean, why do so many of these romance guys have to be so darn ugly??? I finished Aielund part I yesterday and gosh this Robert Black guy is ugly!!! Not that it's a big problem, I'll just put a helmet on his head and change his portrait I think I'll use Kevin Smith/Ares from Xena
As a note, I'd also say I enjoy female romance because in a way, it's like romancing your own male PC

Okay, in no particular order:
NWN:
- Valen - Duh...he has a tail. What's not to love?
- Aarin Gend - He had sooooo much potential! Such a great, tragic story of his past, so many possibilities...even so, the tiny touch of romance was sweet.
- Montador from Arterra - I don't know what it is about the guy, but I just really adore him. Like almost every romance, it could have used further fleshing out, but he was adorable. (I also found it strangely amusing that I was a RDD, so it was Monty and three chicks with wings running around everywhere. I have a stupid sense of humor...)
- Vico from Dance with Rogues *prepares to be flamed* - I know, I know, I get it, he's horrible. However, I played through recently with a NE (quickly turned CE) Assassin, and he fit her so perfectly that I really enjoyed the romance. In fact, I think any other male would have run for the hills. BTW, if you haven't played that mod recently, there were lots of major and minor changes (good ones) to both part 1 and 2 since it was first released.
- Bran from Dance with Rogues part 2 - He's so sweet, but not over the top like Anden is, and the perfect match for a good aligned, Vico-hating princess.
- Robert Black - He is my husband. No seriously, his personality is so much like my husband that it's disturbing on some levels. Needless to say, I love him.
- There's way too many more...I have to stop thinking about them or I'll want to go back and replay them again.
NWN2:
- Gann - I was surprised at how many females seemed to loathe the poor hagspawn, but I luff heem. I love a guy with a huge ego, and even more a guy who can handle someone mocking them for having a huge ego. He's like this fun mix of Edwin and Sand all wrapped up in a sexy, well-voiced package. I can't wait for the flirt pack to be done.
- Casavir - He's the kind of guy I wish I could corrupt. He was sweet, but his romance would have been infinitely more interesting if he could truly become a fallen paladin. I know, I'm evil.
- Bishop - Not all romance has a happy ending. I'm okay with that. Because he's hot.
I'm currently playing a few (read: several) mods for NWN2 that have romances. So far, I'm enjoying the ones in The Subtlety of Thay (chapter 2, chapter 1 has some set ups, good mod overall as well), and Legacy of the Dragon is pretty good, but very linear and full of little annoying typos. I hate that.

Actually, I agree. And once you are officially in a relationship with him, he becomes rather sweet. Always has, though with the recent update he becomes even more nice than he used to before. Yes, he's still a bastard, and he's still *Vico*. But hey, you wouldn't be romancing him if you didn't like Vico. Also, he becomes rather protective of the princess if they're in a relationship, while of course he still acts like Vico.
Also, you actually learn a bit about *why* he became the way he is in the first place. In the past he was just this mysterious but rather rude guy that doesn't talk about his past. He doesn't rub it under your nose now either, and you have to say the right things to learn what his life was like.
But really, like I've said before, Vico is what Bishop would have been, if NWN 2 didn't have a 12+ age rating.

I'm not sure about the last because I'm not that far yet (chapter 2 says it has 30 hours of play time) and she hasn't joined my party. All of them are non-gender specific, so they will romance anyone. I have to say though, even if there weren't romances, I would play this series because it's really fun.

Darchala let's have a toast
Jazhara, uh-oh, I never thought my post would have such a devastating effect I am truly sorry, I didn't want to make you and if it can reassure you a little, no matter what alignment I play, it always moves significantly toward LG, I just can't help it As for RB, I must admit a good deal of my hatred has to do with the cigar thing, because my lungs were damaged some 20 years ago due to colleagues smoking that is most probably why I was so vehement Now you just stop and come here for a K? I'm not that bad ya know

*hugs* It's better now, thank you. And I understand now, why your post was that way, if you had bad experiences with smokers before.
I know you're not that bad. It was just in that situation, reading that post I *did* get a little scared. I guess I am so used to people and their posts here being rather rational and calm, even when talking about something that upsets them, that your post took me in surprise with it's strength.
But it's alright now. Thank you.

Thank you.
