What anime series do you own?
Just curious as to see what kinds of things people decided to buy vs. rent or borrow...
(I'll list mine in a bit...)

I own a set of Studio Ghibli DVDs too.
And I am soon to own several "Fullmetal Alchemist" DVDs (getting them for my Birthday).
Also, I'm not sure if this counts, but I own the entire set of French DVDs of the French/Japanese collaboration Ulysses 31, a series I really loved in my childhood (and still do). I one day have to find a German, or at least English set of DVDs (though that still does not exist at this date. ), as my french isn't *that* good.
Also, I own one DVD set of Captain Future another series from my childhood in the late 80s and 90s. Captain Future: Captain Future is a space anime, based on the series of pulp fiction stories by Edmond Hamilton. Captain Future solves problems not by sheer firepower and stuff like that, but rather uses brains. I still have to get the other sets of DVDs to have the complete series.
Yes, I had a soft spot for space themed anime.
Following are a few screenshots, in the hope that someone will recognise them (It seems there's few people who saw these shows. )
The stars. From left to right: Joan Landor, Captain Future. In the background: Ken Scott, Otho, and Grag. Over the head you can see Professor Simon Wright the living brain, and to the top left you can see their ship, the "Comet".
[/img]
Otho the Android, "Captain Future"/Curtis Newton, and Grag the Robot (And Eek his pet)
[/img]
[/img]
Two pictures from the intro.
Ulysses 31:
Yumi, Ulysses, Telemachus, Nono
The crew of the Odyssee, in supspended (more than literally, as you can see) animation. On the right to Ulysses, you can see Yumi's brother.
Yumi, using her telepathic powers.
All of them together, Yumi playing her flute. I forgot what the flute did.
All of them together again, in spacesuits
[/img]
[/img]
Numinor, Yumi's brother - During one of the few times that he is not "Hanging out" in the sickbay/freight area.
Bebos and Triplos of the Council of Four. Is it just me, or does Triplos remind you of someone else too?
The Sirens. Need I say more?
Ulysses 31 is as you can see, the story of Odyssee, set in space, in the 31st century.
The people who did the animation for "Captain Future", Toei Animation, also did the animation for Interstella 5555, with the music Daft Punk (They also did a lot of other well know animated things, but that movie is the one that has a drawing style very similar to that of "Captain Future", as well as a space theme.)

Other well known things Toei did including Transformers!
I don't know if either of these were ever shown in America. I know I don't remember them. Looking them up, Captain Future has no listed English cast, and Ulysses 31 was done in the UK. My childhood was Voltron and Robotech instead.
Too bad, they don't do much space odyssey stuff anymore. The last thing I can remember is Banner of the Stars. I must be missing something... right?
I should throw out some stuff I've bought recently. I've finally bought all but the final DVD of Mai-HiME, one of my favoritest anime evar. (I have to spell it like that because of the fanboy-ism I'm trying to express here.) I got DVD 1 of the Ah! My Goddess TV series. Last but not least, I saw a 3 DVD set of Project A-ko and I just had to buy it.

Just finished up Mai-HiME and I got Berserk (about time), which means now I have to get the manga! I also bought Elfen Lied thinpack, and I'm on the 2nd DVD. I'm not sure what I'm going to get next. I might get another Slayers box or maybe try and hunt down the rest of Sorcerer Hunters, or maybe Gantz... I really don't know...
