Yes. I went with it because some reason my relationship with the Bard was broken at that point so I figured I might as well try out the other path. I plan to pick it up again and play through once more. It's a really fun mod.

Same here. I really love ADWR and it also introduced to me the fun of having a character sneak around a lot. No other game that I know of does that as thoroughly as this one. And before ADWR, I wasn't even in to playing rogue characters at all! Of course, I have my gripes about the game and I am not referring to all the sexual content either. Some of the battles are ridiculously tough unless you've *really* planned out tactics, henchmen, weapons, etc. beforehand. Namely that blasted dracolich, gah. And the cult temple in part 2 as well as how to even gain access to the castle in part 2. I really think those could use some good touch-ups/more roleplay options. Like for example, what do you do if you don't have Rizzen in your party? Anyway, but yeah that's enough for now. The game while great, certainly isn't without its flaws but then again, nothing and no one is perfect. Does that concept even exist in this reality? I think not.

Intro thing aside...that was the nwn module mostly gave me giggles. I really, really cannot take it seriously for some reason. May it be for how the sex scenes were written (Pia's one and all the focus on dem nipples), or for the "my sexy skills have increased!", or the skimpy armours...I can't say! In the end, I prefer other stealthy modules, like "Honor among thieves".

Right now, I can't think of any 'silly' parts of the module series themselves, but maybe later... Mostly the things that struck me most about the game are, in this order, more or less:
-rogue/sneaky aspects -sexual content -some of the battles being really unbalanced (too difficult) -romantic content -companion interactions -good storyline (engrossing really) -multiple replay options despite restricting race, class and gender of the protagonist -not much gold in the beginning (but makes sense because of the princess losing everything in the beginning and having to learn to work for it and not simply have it handed to her on a silver platter) -character is deemed 'weak' at the start of the story, but later this is not so -other things too I am too lazy to add
Okay, so maybe not in any "particular" order, but oh well. It is definitely a unique game and that's a plus in my book.
Okay, thought of one thing I found silly. The princess's rear end being referred to as a 'poop chute.' Makes me snicker even now.

I’m sorry if I sound a bit dense here, but is this a mod for Neverwinter Nights? I have never heard of it.

Yup, it's a two part mod series about a princess who looses her fortune one night and is adopted by a gang of thieves. You play as a lady rogue and have many exciting adventures. Part one had a rather big polishing a long time ago, but then the mod creator vanished from the face of the earth. Maybe she'll return, maybe not. (The polishing of the first part was certainly a surprise). It has some naughty bits, but most of them can be avoided. I thought it was pretty good, but I haven't fired it up in a long time. (But it was the reason why I finally purchased Neverwinter nights and is one of the reason why the game is still installed on my computer to this day.) Part one: neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/module/dance-rogues-part-onePart two neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/module/dance-rogues-part-twoAnd then there is Dance with Spies (which Songlian linked to on the first page). There you play a man in the ADWR universe. It was pretty buggy when I tried it last (long time ago) but the parts I saw were pretty fun. Part three, the manining. neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/module/dance-spies

Interesting. I haven’t played that game in years. I’ll have to dust it off and try some of these mods when I get the time. It is nice to see mod recommendations from other women that have found them enjoyable. Especially if they are role-play heavy and written from a woman’s perspective. Thank you

Right now, I can't think of any 'silly' parts of the module series themselves I'm sorry, but I couldn't take the sex scenes and all the men oogling at the protagonist seriously, As for the choices, the stealth and the dimensions of the whole module, I agree it's impressive. I think it hasn't touched me particularly, which is why I don't think I would play tha again. When I play D&D,I'd rather see other themes (adventure, growth, falls from grace, redemptions bla bla bla) that to me seem to be played so lightly or not at all in A DAnce with rogues. As for Honor Among Thieves, it's a good classic rogue module, you have some good choices and ending may vary on what choices you make.

For whatever reason I just keep coming back to this module. I think I first played Part One when it was like version 1.04 or something:D I don't even remember it was so long ago. I know it is stupid at this point, seeing as it has been years without so much as a word from Valine or anyone who used to keep in touch with her and drop a few words about her status to the community; but I am still holding on to a bit of hope that part 2 may be updated one day, and the story finished and tied together the way she wanted it. I have to say, this module has to be my favourite video game based story I have played. For some reason the story just sucked me in and I think I have literally played through part one dozens of times by now:D Maybe one day, until then I have my own little version written on my computer, had a few years to think about it all:D

I also know it's stupid, but I still have some naive hope that one day Valine is going to emerge as a phoenix with a brand new update. Imagine, a fully developed Rizzen romance! More Simon, o my! Implementing all this new ambients and haks! I also cannot help but wonder what made Valine abandon her pet project in the first place. Does anybody know why she vanished without a word? Maybe she moved to book writing, as Andarian did?
