Full Moon wo Sagashite released in English
...or it will be in June/July. I've got a preview copy of the 1st ep - courtesy of Shojo Beat, but I'm not sure I'm all that thrilled with it.
I've seen all 52 eps in subbed format (unlicensed torrents of course) and even tho I found the voices to be a little annoying at first they grew on me.
I'm really not sure about the English voices at this point on the dub, but I'm starting to see why some people refuse to watch dubs at all....

I've seen some of it, though it doesn't really pique my interest. I've heard that its very popular, though. As to the dubs, often enough its a travesty unto nature. I'm still crestfallen about the Mai-HiME dub. Is the preview DVD dub-only? I have a friend who has a subscription so I would have access to it.

Yeah - it's pretty popular - I've been reading the managa too. It's not my all time favorite but it's cute.
As far as I can tell the CD only contains the dub - but that doesn't mean the real one won't have both. A number of VIZ releases (a la Ayashi no Ceres) have both sub and dub on them. It's hard to tell with VIZ right now though - their store has been down for several months - it's come back up with a few things, but they told me the main store wouldn't be back up until June. Pity, really - I loved ordering from them since I would usually get their manga a week or more before the street release.
What is interesting is that although the dub is in English, all the songs are still in Japanese. I know that was one of the things that held up the release since we weren't sure if VIZ was going to try to redo the songs in English too. Makes me happy that they released it with the Japanese music - maybe they'll think of releasing Kaikan Phrase too as a result (another anime that's very heavy on the music).
