Bleach
Has anyone here seen Bleach? I have not seen all of the episodes, but I heard so far they produced over 120 (I forgot the exact number). It is a very interesting concept applied in the anime, and I highly recommend it.
I would more push for the fantasy-sci fi crowd to watch this (though anyone should, of course, do it if they want to or get the chance). It is what the genre of the anime would fall into. You basically have people who can talk to ghosts, as well as free ghosts who became twisted by an evil force. I will not specify anymore details, for I do not want to ruin any of the surprises and the more unique aspects.
While the series is long, most of the episodes tend to finish unresolved issues in 1-2 episodes, for the most part. You will not constantly be watching a fight that goes on for weeks on end, I notice that.

Good ol' Bleach. Love it!
I'm on episode 132 of the anime, but there were about 50 or so episodes of filler in there; I'm not exactly sure how much. Nothing near Naruto's filler of course. I gave it a 5/5 in my 2005 in review thread ranking it my #4 pick of the year (hmm is it too late for a 2006 in review?). Very very good anime.
Plus it has pretty pretty boys and girls with large breasts. I mean, what more could you want? Okay okay, a good plot with cool characters and fun fight scenes.
The manga is also great.

I'm glad they got voice actors who fit the parts and are actually treating it seriously instead of "toning it down" for younger audiences

I'm up to episode... 161? I haven't picked up any new episodes or watched any for a little while due to gaming.
I love all the different and interesting characters it has (Yoruichi and Nel!), the story is pretty darn interesting too with the way various things link up together. And although some fight scenes are pretty long, at least it hasn't been dragged out anywhere near as much as Naruto Shippuuden.
Funny, I didn't like Bleach when I watched the first two or three episodes.
The way they put the filler episodes in one arc is nice too, easier to skip them if you want.
